SATSANG & KIRTAN
16 SEP 17.30-21.00
WHAT IS VEDANTA? Vedanta is the valid means of gaining Self Knowledge through a systematic of enquiry into “Who am I” or reality of myself, with the help of the scriptures comprising of Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads and related texts like Patanjali Yoga Sutra.
WHY VEDANTA? Hatha Yoga is wonderful…but incomplete without Vedanta. Vedanta helps one gain freedom from the problems of the mind like sadness, sorrow, fear, anger, hatred, jealousy by learning to deal with them and eventually grow out. Every human being essentially only seeks this freedom at all times. Vedanta declares that complete freedom is definitely possible right here and now! This freedom can only be accomplished by knowing the “Real Me” that is different from what I have mistakenly identified with. Growing out of the false identification by Self-enquiry is the goal of Vedanta and Yoga.
