Advanced Yoga Teacher Training

Welcome to our Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Program, a heartwarming invitation to embark on a profound journey of self-discovery and the realization of your full potential.

This training is your next step to truly understand yourself and deepen your expertise. It encompasses a wide spectrum of yoga practices, from refining your cuing of yoga asanas to delving into the intricacies of pranayama, meditation, subtle body awareness, and the art of deep relaxation.

Our approach is grounded in the essence of the human being, following the path of the 5 Koshas, layer by layer, towards the innermost core within us – the state of bliss. We embrace the holistic foundations of yoga, encompassing the four pillars:

  • Bhakti Yoga: Through chanting, ceremony, rituals and celebration, we deepen our connection to the divine and cultivate devotion.
  • Jnana Yoga: We immerse ourselves in the ocean of philosophy and self-inquiry, navigating the profound teachings of Vedanta.
  • Karma Yoga: We refine our skills as teachers, enhancing our ability to share yoga with others and reach new individuals, in new ways.
  • Raja Yoga: We emphasize embodied practice, where sharing yoga stems from the source of our own experiences. We encourage establishing a steady home practice of asanas, a pranayama sadhana, kriya discipline, and creating a personal altar for prayers and rituals.

Each morning commences with a 2-hour practice that includes asanas, pranayama, mudra, mantra, and meditation. Depending on the module, you can expect a diverse range of lectures, practical sessions, and discussions. We believe in the importance of active participation in the learning process, not merely passive listening.

For those enrolled in the 300-hour training, there will be ongoing practices, recommended readings from our curated book list, and 2 online courses. These courses include the study of the Upanishads with Josephin and a deep exploration of the Yoga Sutras with Satyadev. Additionally, between module 3 and 4, there is a group project that involves 10-15 hours of collaborative work with another student over a span of three months.

Upon completion of each course, you will receive a certificate that reflects your achievement. After successfully finishing all five modules, the group work and the online courses, you have the opportunity to certify as a 300-hour graduate. To obtain this certificate, you will need to design and teach a 90-minute class at the studio in accordance with our exam guidelines.
If you completed your initial training with us, you can also earn a 500-hour YF-certificate.

Join us in this professional yet nurturing environment, where we guide you to deepen your understanding of yoga and self. It’s a path to becoming an exceptional teacher, and we look forward to being part of your transformative journey.

Online zoom course with Satyadev, the timing for the course will be set together with the group closer to the start of the training. It’s a 12 week course, where you meet every 2 weeks over zoom for 90 min per session.

HERE’S WHAT’S ON THE SCHEDULE:

  • SAMADHI PADA
Embarking on the path to becoming a yogi necessitates a heightened awareness of the influence exerted by both personal and external perceptions on our cognitive processes, judgment, decision-making, and subsequent actions. To cultivate a state of non-attachment is to liberate oneself from undue external influences and foster mental equilibrium. This objective is facilitated through the delicate calibration of the Gunas—fundamental qualities of energy, encompassing Tamas (symbolizing darkness and chaos), Rajas (representing activity and passion), and Sattva (indicating beingness and harmony).Striving for equilibrium among these energetic qualities serves as a mechanism for fortifying the mind against external influences. The ultimate aspiration is to transcend the influence of the Gunas entirely, aspiring towards the attainment of Samprajnata Samadhi—a state of discerning contemplation marked by profound mental clarity and liberation.
  • SADHANA PADA
In the second chapter, on enlightenment, Patanjali serves as a guide, instructing on the meticulous construction of the foundations for Samadhi. This involves a gradual process akin to building a mental fortress, emphasizing the importance of orderliness before entering a state of receptive meditation. The journey involves overcoming obstacles, cultivating a detached perspective on life, and dissolving the ego through dedicated meditation.
The Eight Limbs of Yoga serve as a comprehensive practice, aligning the mind, body, and spirit in preparation for the transcendental state of Samadhi. Among the prescribed practices is Pratipaksha Bhavan, a method aimed at counteracting negative thoughts with positive affirmations, fostering not only joy but also self-realization.Integral to this progression is the practice of asanas, serving as a physical prelude to meditation. By engaging in these postures, the practitioner readies the body to withdraw the senses from external stimuli, facilitating a focused journey inward. In this disciplined approach, one endeavors to navigate the path to profound self-discovery and superconscious awareness.
  • VIBHUTI PADA
This book unveils the incredible possibilities of yoga – enter the realm of Siddhis, those supernatural superpowers you can unlock through the last three limbs of Raja Yoga: Concentration (Dharana), Meditation (Dhyana), and Complete Integration (Samadhi). Blend them together in the magic mix called Samyama, and voila! You’re on the path to enlightening your mind by keeping the info overload in check.
And, the grand finale – Samadhi. It’s that sweet spot where nothing is missing. Observe yourself to really know yourself, unveiling the true light after tossing aside the external influences. Sure, life throws distractions, but we swing by the practice to turn inward, managing that sweet connection with the true self.
  • KAIVALYA PADA
The last chapter ties it all up, showing how a yogi’s vibe reaches absolute levels – we’re talking Kaivalyam, the absolute and limitless state. The Eight Limbs of Yoga, especially the final three, work their magic, creating a chill, karmic-free zone for the yogi. Death? No biggie. Eternal life desire kicks in.

But wait, there’s more! This book spills the tea on the karmic fate of those who snooze on life’s journey vibes. Forget reflecting, and boom – they might unknowingly rerun life scenarios or score less-than-stellar outcomes in the sequel.
